Our Mission Statement
The mission of Correctional Officers of America (COA) is to encourage America’s Correctional Officers (COs) to “put on the full armor of God.” Ephesians 6:10
COA is dedicated to creating strong community partnerships in support of the mental, physical, financial and spiritual health and wellness of America’s COs.
COA supports America’s COs by educating the people of America about the purpose and importance of the law enforcement profession of Corrections.
COA is committed to securing equal recognition and respect for America’s COs and Detention Deputies (DDs) who have sworn an oath to their respective state and have a duty to serve their state as emergency first responders and law enforcement officers (LEOs) responsible for ensuring the safety and security of America’s prisons and jails while providing care, custody and control of America’s inmate population.
